Big Show and Mark Henry destroy ring at WWE Vengeance (Video)

Divas Champion Beth Phoenix def. Eve (WWE Vengeance result)

Bet Phoenix defended WWE Diva Championship

The battle between No. 1 contender to the Divas Championship Eve and The Glamazon, Beth Phoenix spread far beyond the mat – where the two Divas took to Twitter to air their grievances with one another After the Twitter-based tongue lashing had finally subsided in a hotly-contested battle for the butterfly emblazoned title, Eve fell just short of beating a dominating Beth Phoenix at Vengeance.

Eve pulled out all the stops in hopes of capturing the Divas Championship. Utilizing both her athleticism – reversing the Glam Slam and trying for the pin – and using The Glamazon’s own ring gear to tie The Beauty from Buffalo to the ring ropes. However, one dominant Glam Slam later, Eve was unable to net the butterfly.

On SmackDown, Natalya made it clear that Divas Champion Beth Phoenix and herself were not messing around and gave an ominous warning that Eve had made the biggest mistake or her life. The “Sisters of Salvation” held true to their warning, attacking Kelly Kelly before Vengeance  relegating the former Divas Champion unable to accompany her best friend to the ring for one of the biggest matches of Eve’s career.

Now that Beth has taken back two challengers in Eve and Kelly Kelly in her quest for Divas division domination with Natalya – what’s next for the powerful duo? Have The Fabulous Firebird and talented Natalya taken control of the Divas locker room, or is there another Diva waiting in the wings to silence the “Sisters of Destruction”?

The Miz & R-Truth def. Triple H & CM Punk (WWE Vengeance |Result)

Kelvin Nash attack Triple H

At Vengeance, WWE’s conspiracy theorists benefited from a much suspected scheme against the Chief Operating Officer, as The Miz & R-Truth defeated Triple H & CM Punk with the abetting of an invading Kevin Nash

The Game’s ex-best friend parted the crowd in San Antonio and entered the squared circle like he did during Triple H’s clash against Punk at Night of Champions last month. This time, the near 7-foot former WWE Champion directly targeted the WWE COO (who fired Nash on Sept. 5) and dismantled The Cerebral Assassin at ringside – ironically, in the hometown of their fellow Kliq cohort, Shawn Michaels.

With Triple H removed from the equation by the leviathan-like aggressor, Miz & Truth executed a match-snaring double-team on Punk for the pinfall. Nash’s wrath was further wrought with an emphatic Jackknife Powerbomb after the bout’s conclusion, leaving a debilitated COO collapsed in the center of the squared circle.

The tension between The Game and The Voice of the Voiceless was a challenge enough for the pair in their collision with recently reinstated rogues Miz and Truth. Even in the final hours, Triple H and Punk, the respective “doofus” and “internet darling who believes his own hype,” exchanged these exact harsh barbs but also a mutual respect, especially following their No Disqualification Match a month earlier.

The Miz & R-Truth topple CM Punk at VengeanceThe King of Kings and Straight Edge Superstar sought retribution against The “Awesome Truth” for a series of embarrassments and assaults but were instead foiled by a towering assailant named Nash. With a massive victory over Punk and the 13-time World Champion Chief Operating Officer, Miz & Truth ascended to the top of WWE as its most potent tandem. Amid the argued unsafe working conditions and unruliness that is still prevalent, Nash’s intervention has further diluted The Game’s governance as control pours from his forceful grip. He may have refused to quit, step down or walk away, but it’s clear that forces beyond Triple H’s control continue to chip away at his steel-clad resolve.

Can The Game recover from the defeat and the disorder he and his unlikely teammate suffered at Vengeance?

WWE Vengeance Result: Sheamus def. Christian

Sheamus emerge as winner

Mere days before he stepped in the ring with Christian at Vengeance, Sheamus vowed to WWE.com that his obnoxious rival would be under his boot before the night was over. The Celtic Warrior made good on this promise tonight in San Antonio as he battered the eely Superstar with clubbing forearms and devastating knees before putting the former World Heavyweight Champion away with a destructive Brogue Kick.

The win was an important one for The Great White, but by no means any easy one. Although he acted cowardly in the weeks leading up to Vengeance by routinely sneak attacking Sheamus during the Irishman’s bouts, Christian came to the AT&T Center tonight to fight. Using all his veteran wiles against his younger opponent, the experienced grappler repeatedly stopped The Celtic Warrior just as the Superstar was building up serious momentum. The crafty competitor even connected with a huge spear that nearly put Sheamus away for the three count. It was a reminder to the locker room that Christian may be cunning, but he is not a chicken.

Still, the sheer brutality of the raging Dublin native was too much for Christian to overcome. Going blow for blow with his rival in the center of the ring, Sheamus looked to be enjoying himself as his pale skin turned red from the nastiness of the brawl. Fueled by the fight, The Great White refused to be slowed down and ultimately blasted his opponent with a decisive Brogue Kick as Christian was going for a second spear.

As his hand was raised in victory, The Celtic Warrior flashed a big smile. He had reason to be happy. After weeks of chasing Christian, Sheamus finally got what he wanted — a fight.

WWE Vengeance Result: World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry vs. Big Show ended in a No contest

Big show VS Mark Henry

The supersized World Heavyweight Championship Match between Mark Henry and his No. 1 contender Big Show ended in a shocking no contest, when the ring collapsed in the climatic conclusion of their mammoth clash of the titans.

The match is about to start

Several months ago at Money in the Bank, Mark Henry sent Big Show to his infamous Hall of Pain with an absolutely ruthless assault (PHOTOS). Months later, on the Oct. 7 edition of SmackDown, the incensed giant burst back onto the scene, thirsty for payback. Unleashing a brutal attack on the normally dominant World’s Strongest Champion, Big Show left GM Theodore Long no alternative but to make a World Title Match between the colossal grapplers (WATCH).

When these two forces of nature finally locked horns at Vengeance, Big Show’s gigantic determination looked as if it might be enough to finally conquer the uncontrollable rage that had earned Henry the illustrious World Title in the first place – particularly after he kicked out of Henry’s World’s Strongest Slam. Not to be outdone, the irate World Champion gave Big Show one of the biggest beatings of his career, miraculously kicking out of a chokeslam off the top rope.

Ultimately, however, the magnitude of the clash between these two immense giants – with a total combined weight of 897 lbs. – proved too massive for the squared circle to support. When Mark Henry superplexed Big Show off the ropes, the earth-shattering impact caused the ring to implode on itself – with enough force to leave both champion and challenger unable to continue.

The shockwaves of the match proved so destructive that Henry was barely able to walk out of the AT&T Center, while Big Show was forced to be taken out by motorized cart.

In the wake of the unspeakable destruction, the stunning conclusion kept the World Heavyweight Title firmly in the grasp of Mark Henry. But has the fury of The World’s Largest Athlete left him with an even bigger problem than before? Find out on SmackDown, this Friday at 8/7 CT only on Syfy.

WWE Vengeance Result: Randy Orton VS Cody Rhodes the Intercontinental Champion

Randy Orton def. Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes

Randy Orton may have defeated Intercontinental Champion Cody Rhodes at Vengeance, but it seems that The Viper has more venom to inject into Rhodes. (PHOTOS)

While many things have changed for Rhodes since he faced his one-time mentor Randy Orton at Wrestlemania XXVI, one thing hasn’t, Cody Rhodes still hasn’t been able to knock Orton off the pinnacle of WWE’s food chain as its Apex Predator.

Heading into Vengeance, Randy Orton split open Rhodes’ scalp using the ring bell and Rhodes responded by embarrassing Orton by knocking him cold and putting a paper bag on his head. However, it seems Rhodes strategy of trying to get inside the infamously unstable psyche of Orton only made The Viper more venomous.

Rhodes unloaded everything in his offensive arsenal against Orton, including his favorite finishing maneuver – Cross Rhodes – but the match came to an end as most of Randy Orton’s matches do – with a thunderous RKO, a three count and the Apex Predator’s hand raised in victory.

What has gotten into WWE Diva – Kelly Kelly?

Kelly Kelly

Kelly Kelly has had enough.

It’s been more than a week since the feisty competitor brutalized Divas Champion Beth Phoenix in a fit of rage on the Oct. 3 Raw SuperShow and still she’s fired up by the mere mention of The Glamazon and her crony, Natalya.

“They’ve been torturing me and making me miserable for the last few months,” she told WWE.com in the locker room of Dallas’ American Airlines Center. “Losing the title [to Beth at WWE Hell in a Cell] just topped it off. The next night, I let my frustrations get to me and I just let out everything I’ve been holding back.”

By the looks of her attack on Beth, Kelly had been holding back a lot. In a moment that many WWE fans likened to demonic possession, the perky blonde kicked and screamed as she unleashed hell on Beth Phoenix, repeatedly slamming The Glamazon’s head into the business end of the announcer’s table. (WATCH)

It was an aggressive side the friendly Diva suppressed for some time. Transitioning from the pages of bikini magazines to the WWE rings of Extreme Championship Wrestling in 2006, Kelly Kelly was an impressionable teenager when she first entered the rough world of sports-entertainment. Fun loving and naive, she made mistakes early like painting an American flag on her bare chest and dating the walking carpet known as Mike Knox. The Florida native soon found her way, though, developing as a singles competitor before finally capturing the Divas Championship in June of 2011.

But Kelly’s crowning achievement soon became a cross to bear when she was targeted by Beth & Natalya — two women who believed it was their purpose in life to “save” the Divas division. Labeling the beautiful blonde as a sham champion, the powerful duo offered Kelly no respect, routinely attacking her after matches and dismissing her as nothing more than a model trying to pass for a grappler.

WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. John Cena @WWE Vengeance

Cena VS Del rio

Alberto Del Rio will defend his WWE Championship at Vengeance against John Cena  It was one of the first major announcements made by Raw SuperShow’s new Interim General Manager, John Laurinaitis.

Cena has been ready for his rematch since he lost the WWE Title at WWE Hell in a Cell in a Triple Threat Match against Del Rio and Punk, when The Mexican Aristocrat locked Cena out of the cell and used a steel pipe to defeat The Straight Edge Superstar. However, Laurinaitis has declared that this is Cena’s last chance at the WWE Championship. If he doesn’t defeat Del Rio on Oct. 23, he doesn’t get another title match against him. Cena stated that he only needs one chance at Del Rio – a Superstar who has yet to beat him in his life.

Now that Del Rio has won his second WWE Title, the Mexican Superstar isn’t ready to give up his destiny just yet. After defeating both Cena and Punk at WWE Hell in a Cell, Del Rio is determined to hold onto the most coveted prize in WWE, no matter the cost and regardless of the stipulation.

Will Cena capture the WWE Championship for a record 11 times at Vengeance? Or will Del Rio finally defeat Cena, one-on-one, to continue his title reign? Watch Vengeance Oct. 23 at 8 ET/5 PT, live on pay-per-view.

World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry vs. Big Show

Mark henry VS Bigshow

World Heavyweight Champion Mark Henry versus Big Show

The World’s Strongest Man versus The World’s Largest Athlete for the World Heavyweight Championship. Do we have your attention now?

After Mark Henry rendered Big Show unable to compete for four months by crushing his leg in a steel chair, the 7-foot, 485-pound goliath returned on SmackDown and demanded a match with the now-World Heavyweight Champion. When Henry denied Big Show’s demand, The World’s Largest Athlete charged to the ring like a furious beast and brutalized Henry with punishingly painful punches. Even a sea of WWE security personnel could not stop the onslaught.

After powering his way through bodies in the ring, Show viciously speared Henry, and then brutalized all of security personnel. When the World Heavyweight Champion tried to walk away with his title, The World’s Largest Athlete chased him down. At first, it looked as if Henry was going to win the battle of the behemoths when he smashed Show into the ringside barrier, but The World’s Largest Athlete battled back and chokeslammed the 400-plus-pound World’s Strongest Champion through the announce table.

With Henry incapacitated, Big Show was prepared to inflict the exact same injury that Henry used to put him out of commission. With the champion’s massive leg trapped in a steel chair, Show was ready to crush him from the steel ring steps. However, Henry was spared when GM Teddy Long emerged to stop the raging giant by agreeing to give him what he wanted: a World Championship Match – as long as he did not injure Henry. Show agreed to Long’s offer and now, the titans will clash on pay-per-view.

At Vengeance, two massive men weighing nearly half a ton will collide with the World Heavyweight Championship hanging in the balance – and only one will walk away with it.
